In an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, the Canadian Restricted Firearms Courses offered in New Brunswick have been postponed until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Anyone who has registered for these courses will be contacted and offered a choice of a refund or registration for a course at a later date.

Please keep an eye on the website as the current schedule is subject to change. Registrants will be contacted if there are further cancellations.

Anyone who has registered for a course during this period can also contact the Provincial Firearms Office at 1-800-731-4000 ext. 6000 or by e-mail at cfonbcaf@gnb.ca if they have questions.

Prerequisite course:

Completed the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and successfully passed the tests.

Required material:

  1. Student Handbook, available for purchase at your local Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development or download online ahttp://publications.gc.ca/site/eng/9.801815/publication.html
  2. Registration form
    (to be accepted, all sections of the registration form must be completed)

Once completed, form and payment can be only be sent by methods listed on the registration form.

Cancellation/Refund:

To cancel or reschedule your participation, a written request must be submitted two weeks prior to the original scheduled course date. All requests must be submitted by email at cfonbcaf@gnb.ca or by fax at (506) 457-3521. Requests are reviewed on a case by case basis; however, requests may be refused.
