Government of New Brunswick

Each year, the Crime Prevention Association of New Brunswick and the Department of Public Safety recognize individuals and groups that are making a significant contribution to community safety and crime prevention by presenting Awards and Certificates of Recognition every November.

Business Crime Prevention Excellence Award

This award is established by CPANB to recognize businesses and/or business leaders who have made an outstanding contribution to Crime Prevention through social development initiatives in their respective communities, by their vision, dedication, and commitment.

Constable Leo "Tyler" Francis Memorial Award

This award is established by CPANB in honor and memory of the late Constable Tyler Francis, an RCMP Officer who demonstrated both a high standard of dedication towards crime prevention. This award is presented to a police officer or peace officer who has been involved in crime prevention initiatives in their community for at least 5 years and have demonstrated significant personal and professional commitment in the function of these duties.

Hall of Fame Award

The CPANB established the Hall of Fame Award in 1996 to recognize the commitment of individuals, communities, and organizations who have made significant contribution in the creation of safer communities.

Department of Public Safety Certificate of Recognition

The Department of Public Safety recognizes individuals, community groups and organizations who have made and outstanding contribution to the development of crime prevention and safer communities

Nominations

Nomination forms and supporting documentation must be received by September 30 of the current year for awards related to the previous year in order to be considered.
