There are a variety of career opportunities in the policy field throughout the New Brunswick Public Service.

Policy roles in line departments develop policies and implement development plans in support of Government’s goals in consultation with stakeholders, including provincial and federal governments.

Policy roles in central agencies provide strategic and corporate direction to the management of relations with other governments, communities and organizations in support of the Government's goals. Policy analysts in central agency also review proposals for the development or amendment of government policy and coordinate the development of new policy proposals, review all regulatory and legislative proposals that impact on government policy, and monitor ongoing progress in achieving Government’s goals.

Education: A university degree in a field relevant to the work undertaken by the department.
