Public Health Inspectors
Regional management and staff working in many of the inspection programs including food safety are Public Health Inspectors who hold certification by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI). Public Health Inspectors require a bachelor degree in environmental health from a university recognized by the Board of Certification of CIPHI. Agri-food Inspectors
Agri-food Inspectors provide professional, semi-professional and technical inspection services to the NB dairy and abattoir industries. Agricultural Technicians require a diploma in agriculture from an institute of technology or agricultural college. Agrologists must have a degree or post graduate study in Agriculture and membership to the New Brunswick Institute of Agrologists.
Through inspection, enforcement, licensing and monitoring the Health Protection Branch aims to maintain healthy environments and reduce the incidence of disease in New Brunswick.
