  Digital Elevation Model

A bare-ground Digital Elevation Model (DEM) – A digital model or 3D representation of a terrain's surface) derived from LiDAR data covering the Province of New Brunswick. Structures, such as buildings, have been removed from the data. The raster has a resolution of 1 metre by 1 metre.

  Hillshade – 315

A hillshade (A grayscale 3D representation of the surface, with the sun's relative position taken into account for shading the image) raster derived from the provincial DEM, using an azimuth of 315°. The raster has a resolution of 1 metre by 1 metre.

   Direct Access

  Hillshade – 45

A hillshade (A grayscale 3D representation of the surface, with the sun's relative position taken into account for shading the image) raster derived from the Provincial DEM, using an azimuth of 45°.  The raster has a resolution of 1 metre by 1 metre.

   Direct Access

  Slope

A raster representing incline, or steepness, of a surface (a slope of 45 degrees equals 100 percent slope. As slope angle approaches vertical (90 degrees), the percent slope approaches infinity) derived from the provincial DEM. The raster has a resolution of 1 metre by 1 metre.

  Digital Surface Model (DSM)

A Digital Surface Model (DSM) derived from LiDAR data covering the Province of New Brunswick. This is derived using the first return recorded by the LiDAR sensor, and as such all structures, such as buildings, have been retained. The raster has a resolution of 1 metre by 1 metre.

  Digital Surface Model Hillshade

A hillshade (A grayscale 3D representation of the surface, with the sun's relative position taken into account for shading the image) raster derived from the provincial DEM, using an azimuth of 315°. The raster has a resolution of 1 metre by 1 metre.

   Direct Access

  Orthoimagery

Aerial Imagery captured by the province as part of a 10-year observation cycle. The resolution of imagery varies between 10 and 30 cm.

   Direct Access

  Canopy Height Model

A rasterized representation of the tree canopy. (Heights that also include buildings, power lines and general infrastructure)

   Direct Access

  Total Basal Area

Total stand basal area. The raster has a resolution of 20 metres by 20 metres.

   Direct Access

  Merchantable Basal Area

Merchantable stand basal area. The raster has a resolution of 20 metres by 20 metres.

   Direct Access

  Gross Merchantable Volume

Gross merchantable volume. The raster has a resolution of 20 metres by 20 metres.

   Direct Access

  Gross Total Volume

Gross total stand volume (m3/ha) – inside bark. The raster has a resolution of 20 metres by 20 metres.

   Direct Access

  Lorey’s Height

Lorey's height – average height of all trees ≥ 3 cm, weighted by basal area. The raster has a resolution of 20 metres by 20 metres.

   Direct Access

  Net Merchantable Volume

Net merchantable volume. The raster has a resolution of 20 metres by 20 metres.

   Direct Access

   Quadratic Mean Diameter

Total quadratic mean diameter. The raster has a resolution of 20 metres by 20 metres.

   Direct Access

  Merchantable Quadratic Mean Diameter

Merchantable quadratic mean diameter. The raster has a resolution of 20 metres by 20 metres.

   Direct Access

  Top Height

Mean height of thickest 100 trees/ha ≥ 3 cm DBH. For the 2018 block, the tallest 100 trees/ha ≥ 3 cm DBH is likely used. The raster has a resolution of 20 metres by 20 metres.
