This is a current snapshot of the drinking water fountain remedial actions taking place in NB schools. This work is almost fully completed. Along with necessary plumbing upgrades, over 250 fountains have been appropriately and permanently removed. In addition, approximately 150 new fountains have replaced older models with lead or copper issues. 24 schools have water treatment systems with one more pending (see below). Water quality will be monitored on an ongoing basis.

 

Anglophone East School District (ASD-E): All work completed.
  • Bernice MacNaughton High School – 1 fountain deactivated (Lead issue); 1 fountain installed; 1 fountain removed
  • Birchmount School – 1 fountain deactivated (Lead issue); 1 fountain removed
  • Claude D. Taylor School – 1 fountain deactivated (Lead issue); 1 fountain removed
  • Forest Glen School – 1 fountain deactivated (Lead issue); 1 fountain installed; 1 fountain removed
  • Frank L. Bowser School – 1 fountain deactivated (Lead issue); 1 fountain installed
  • Marshview Middle School – 2 fountains deactivated (Lead issue); 1 fountain installed; 1 fountain removed

  • Bonar Law Memorial School – 1 fountain deactivated (Lead issue); 1 fountain removed
  • Campbellton Middle – 9 fountains deactivated; school provided with Bottled water (Lead issue); 3 fountains removed; 4 fountains installed
  • Dalhousie Regional High – 1 fountain deactivated (Lead issue); 1 fountain removed
  • Harkins Elementary School – 1 fountain deactivated (Lead issue); 1 fountain installed
