The objective of Livestock Development is to maximize the total development and prosperity of the livestock (dairy, beef, swine, sheep and specialty livestock), poultry (chicken, turkey, and egg) and fur industries in New Brunswick. Efforts are focused on evaluating, adapting and transferring innovative livestock, poultry and fur production technologies and creating and implementing strategic initiatives supporting competitiveness, development and food safety.


New Brunswick livestock and poultry producers including dairy beef, swine, sheep, chicken, turkey, and egg producers as well as the fur farmers.


Delivery of Livestock Development is provided through a team of provincial livestock and poultry development specialists working with individual producers, producer groups and the agri-food industry.
