The Invitation Festival Fund

Overview
The Invitation Festival Fund supports new and existing festivals of two consecutive days or longer.
Eligibility
New festivals must be a ticketed event. Existing festivals must demonstrate that a minimum of 25% of their ticket sales are by purchasers who live at least 75 kms outside of the community where the festival is being held.
All tourism organizations and businesses applying for funding must be in a sound financial standing and have no obligations to the Government of New Brunswick.
Deadlines
Festivals occurring from April 1 – Sept. 30, 2023 must apply prior to April 28, 2023. Applicants will be notified by May 12, 2023.
Festivals occurring from Oct. 1, 2023 - March 31, 2024 must apply prior to August 18, 2023. Applicants will be notified by Sept. 1, 2023.
Project Costs
Eligible
• Costs associated with the execution of the festival;
• All eligible project costs must be for the current festival year.
* Note that costs such as artist fees, local food purchases, etc, may be covered under other provincial festival programs. For a list, visit: www.tourismnewbrunswick.info/festivals
Non - Eligible :
• Meetings and conventions;
• Trade shows;
• Sporting events;
• Bank and financial fees;
• Financing of a deficit;
• Debt repayment;
• Amount of HST refundable.

Are you planning a multi-day festival that brings in visitors from outside your local community and supports the tourism industry in your area? The Invitation Festival Fund may be able to help support some of your costs.
