Overview

The Home Library Service offers a library lending service to patrons who are unable to visit a public library. A designate picks up and returns library materials for the patron.

Eligibility

The service is free and is available to New Brunswick public library cardholders who are unable to visit a public library but know a designate who can pick up and return their library materials for them.

Description

The Home Library Service offers a library lending service to people who are unable to visit a library due to a disability or illness. A designate picks up materials that are selected by either the designate or by library staff for the patron.

Home library service patrons can borrow a maximum of 50 items at a time with a loan period of six weeks, with one renewal. When the loan period has expired, the designate who checked out the items returns them to their local public library. Replacement fees will be charged for lost or damaged items.
