FREDERICTON (GNB) – The following public advisory regarding Category 1 Burning Permits in the province is issued by the Forest Fire Management Branch, Department of Natural Resources. (Note: Grass fires are NOT permitted in Category 1). Within city and town boundaries, please check with municipal offices about burning permit restrictions.

Burning conditions are valid from 2 PM June 29, to 2 PM June 30.

 

The following counties are open for burning:  Albert, Charlotte, Kings, Madawaska, Restigouche, Saint John and Victoria.

 

In all other counties burning is permitted between 8 PM and 8 AM.

 

 

This information does not apply to the Tracadie Firing Range area, where burning is prohibited.
