Government of New Brunswick

The 2029 Canada Summer Games will be hosted in New Brunswick

The Government of New Brunswick is working closely with the Canada Games Council in preparation of the host selection process for the 2029 Canada Summer Games.

Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John have been asked to consider their interest in hosting the 2029 Canada Summer Games.

Representatives of those cities have attended an information meeting with the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture and the Canada Games Council to gain an understanding of the role and responsibility a host community would have.

The formal bid process is expected to be launched in January 2024 and will ensure the host community has what is required, including access to a large group of volunteers, venues that meet national standards, and adequate accommodations for participants and spectators.

The host community is expected to be announced in the spring of 2025.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available or by contacting the Sport and Recreation Branch of the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture at SR/[email protected].
