Future GNB is a government-wide initiative supporting the creation of formal pathways for post-secondary students in accessing valuable, experiential, and work-integrated learning opportunities in the public service.
To achieve this, we will focus on:
Throughout the program, students will have the opportunity to create connections with other public servants and Future GNB students, as well as participate in round-table discussions, seminars, and workshops. Most importantly, students will see the value in being public servants and helping to improve the lives of New Brunswickers and our province.
"I am grateful to have been a part of the Future GNB program. This program opened my eyes to all the areas of government and how career opportunities are endless with the help of managers who truly want to see you succeed. It allows students an opportunity to get a foot in the door and start taking charge of their own careers. In just my term alone, many, if not all of the students made connections that opened doors to an extended work term or talk of future employment, which is huge as it can be challenging to find work while in university. This program is a step in the right direction for GNB and I think it will help a lot of people understand what a rewarding experience working for government can be."

"Being a part of the public service has opened my eyes to so many more career opportunities than I realized were attainable for me. It excites me knowing that I can take my engineering degree and work in so many areas in GNB and touch the lives of New Brunswickers in different ways. I feel so lucky that I’ve had the chance to work in such a dynamic environment as a student and collaborate with several public servants of various backgrounds. I am looking forward to being challenged and learning new things throughout my career and am confident that I will be able to do that in government after my experience with Future GNB."
