New Discovery
A discovery of gold in iron formation outcrop related to magnetic anomalies has been identified, with values from grab samples up to 9.2 and 13.2 g/t Au. This showing is associated with mafic volcanic rocks (Forty Mile Brook tholeiite gabbro basalt). This mafic unit extends over 2.5 km on the geology map. The discovery of surface rocks in the summer of 2021 returned values of 9 to 13 g/t Au over 250 meters in a new clear cut, and 75% of the favorable unit remains unexplored. No base metals are connected to the rocks of the gold iron formation. A gold soil sampling program is recommended that would cover the favorable horizon of 2.5 km east of the showing.

In the summer of 2021, prospecting was carried out to extend the mineralization of the initial outcrop containing 13.2 g/t Au. The silicified iron formation rocks are present everywhere in the new forest clear cut. Three samples gave results ranging from 1 to 9.85 g/t Au. These surface rocks appear to have the same strike length as the initial discovery. Note that the gold mineralization for the Forty Four Mile Gold project is found in quartz veins and in sedimentary rocks, and all of these gold discoveries have never been drilled.
