New River Beach Provincial Park is situated along the Bay of Fundy in Charlotte County.  With a total land area of approximately 364 ha (900 acres), New River Beach Park is divided by highway Route #1 into three distinct areas:  it includes land along both sides of New River extending to the old Saint John Road, lands between Route #1, the old Route #1 highway, New River Beach Road and the Coastal Highway frontage between New River and Lepreau Harbour.

New River Beach is a critical component of the “Stonehammer GeoPark”.  The products for this zone reflect the natural formation of the bay from millions of years ago to present day.  In contrast with the relatively young bay the rocks are some of the oldest in the world.  The beach itself is one of the nicest along the entire Bay of Fundy coast.

To ensure the intrinsic values of New River Beach provincial park are protected for the benefit of present and future generations, the New Brunswick Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture will be preparing a park management plan that defines a vision and philosophy that will guide future management decisions affecting the park.

PDF Downloads will be available for those interested in the preliminary management plan once it has been drafted.  The following documents are ready for review:
