New Brunswick Express Entry Stream

Overview

The New Brunswick Express Entry stream is designed for highly skilled foreign nationals in the federal Express Entry pool. These individuals are looking to make New Brunswick their permanent home and contribute to the province’s growth. A nomination from ImmigrationNB will increase their chances of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residency from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Invitation criteria

You may receive an invitation to apply if you meet the criteria of one of the pathways:

Employment in New Brunswick

  • You have been living in New Brunswick and working full time in a position classified under TEER category 0, 1, 2, or 3 of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) for a New Brunswick employer for the past 12 consecutive months.

New Brunswick Interests

  • You have received a letter of interest in your federal Express Entry profile.

Meeting the invitation criteria does not guarantee that you will receive an invitation to apply or be nominated. Other conditions may apply. Please carefully review the application guide that applies to your specific situation for more information.

Application

Start with the “Important Information for All Streams” document to learn about what you should know before applying for a nomination, then carefully read the guide that applies to your specific pathway to learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply.

After nomination

When you are nominated by ImmigrationNB, you will receive a message in your IRCC secure account, asking if you want to accept or reject the nomination. If you accept, you will get an extra 600 points added to your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. You will then be invited to apply for permanent residency in the next round of invitations.
