Composting facilities exist throughout New Brunswick as a means of converting organic materials into finished compost. The Department's main concern with siting and operation of the compost facilities is that they be operated in a manner to prevent unacceptable impacts to the environment and that the finished compost meet federal compost quality guidelines.
