Overview
This program will provide strategic assistance to install guard fencing on mink ranches so as to discourage wildlife from penetrating mink farms and spreading Aleutian Disease.
Eligibility
a) Any individual or agri-business which has an existing commercial mink ranch;
b) Any individual who is establishing a mink ranch in New Brunswick.
The applicants must be 19 years of age or over.
No current or former public office holder, public servant, Member of the Legislative Assembly, or Member of Parliament who is not in compliance with applicable conflict of interest guidelines and legislation shall derive any benefit from this program.
Applicants must have a license under the Livestock Operations Act (LOA) if relevant.
Description
The Guard Fencing Program has two elements:
1. Fence perimeter installation.
2. Barrier Proof Upgrading.
