    The Certification Unit manages a variety of types of testing, both internal and external. Examinations may be provincial, industry-driven, national or from the private sector and are available in both official languages. Successful completion is measured by way of a standardized exam administered by this Unit. Certification is provided for the following:

    Life License Qualification Program (LLQP)
    Fundamentals of Insurance
    Pesticide Applicators
    Sign Service Installation Technician (SSIT)


    To be eligible to write one of these exams, you must:

    - have the approval of the sponsoring agency;
    - fill in the appropriate registration form;
    - submit the appropriate fees.


    Individuals wishing to write one of these exam, must register with the Department and submit the appropriate fees. Exams fees, passmarks and the writing time allowed for each of these exams varies; therefore, it is important that candidates communicate with the sponsoring agency prior to registration. LLQP Candidates must contact Durham College for registration.

    For Pesticide Applicator Exams, the fee to write is $100 which includes the Annual Certification fee of $25, except for Private exam (L1) which is $85 and includes the Annual Certification fee of $10. The fee to re-write is $75.
