Government of New Brunswick

To assist in the long-term goal of identifying both the point and non-point sources of bacteria throughout the Shediac Bay Watershed, government has forged partnership with academic researchers.

Dr. Douglas Campbell – Mount Allison University
At the request of the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Campbell will help consolidate historical bacteria results in the Shediac Bay Watershed from different stakeholders. Once accumulated, this data will be imported to existing government databases and allow government to have a comprehensive history of the water quality in the area. Dr. Campbell will also be investigating the potential use of new sampling methods that could result in quicker results.
