You have the right to request a correction to your personal information that a public body holds about you if you think there’s an error.
Complete a Request to Correct Personal Information Form (PDF) and send it to the government department or public body that holds the information about you that you want corrected.
Send your correction request directly to the public body or government department that holds your information that you want corrected.
The public body will review your request. They will either correct your information or refuse the correction. If they do not make your correction, your request for correction will be
added to your record. They will tell you within 20 business days of receiving your request if your correction was made or refused.
You can complain to the Ombud if your correction request was refused. You must do this within 40 business days of being notified by the public body.
