Government of New Brunswick

New Brunswick public libraries provide collections and programming relating to Aboriginal cultures, languages, and peoples. They also provide welcoming spaces and library services to New Brunswick Aboriginal peoples, and share elements of First Nations culture with non-Aboriginals.

The service is free and available for everyone.

Books, audio and video by and about Aboriginals are available at all New Brunswick public libraries. The Aboriginal collection is identified by a spine label.

Libraries provide a variety of Aboriginal-related programming including Aboriginal Story Time and Reading Circles.

New Brunswick public libraries are working on building relationships with Aboriginal organizations and communities. We would be more than happy to provide information about public libraries at community events.

For more information, contact us by email at or consult with staff at your local public library.
