Ministers welcome students from China to the legislative assembly
Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Serge Rousselle met with 27 Grade 12 students from China and their teachers. These students have been in New Brunswick since February, studying in the provincial school system for one semester. They are attending high schools in different regions of the province: Campbellton, Dalhousie, Bathurst, Miramichi, Riverview, and Saint John. The students are in New Brunswick as part of a long-standing partnership between the province and AKD International. This partnership is facilitated by Atlantic Education International, which co-ordinates international student placements in New Brunswick’s public schools. The students met Rousselle as part of their visit to the legislative assembly. They were joined by Energy and Mines Minister Donald Arseneault; Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Bill Fraser; Ed Doherty, minister responsible for Service New Brunswick; and Miramichi Bay-Neguac MLA, Lisa Harris.
