Minister meets students on Take Our Kids to Work Day
Grade 9 students met today with Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Serge Rousselle in Fredericton on Take Our Kids to Work Day. Rousselle said the annual event is a wonderful opportunity for New Brunswick students to start thinking about career choices that might be of interest to them. He also thanked all parents who hosted children for helping to prepare the next generation to be job-ready. Take Our Kids to Work Day is organized by the Learning Partnership, a national non-profit organization that advocates a strong public education system in Canada. New Brunswick joined the program in 1996. Since 1998, the program has been held nationally, with all provinces and territories taking part.
