Schools to participate in the Premier’s Challenge announced
The provincial government, in partnership with Active at School and Canadian Tire Corp., is putting a plan into action to get the province's children and youth active. Premier David Alward announced the 20 schools that will take part in the Premier's Challenge, a six-week pilot project designed to get young people active for an hour a day. Alward attended the event and brought shopping carts filled with sporting equipment donated by Canadian Tire and Sport Chek that will be used by the participating schools.
