President of New Brunswick Aboriginal Peoples Council expresses appreciation to provincial government for grant
Chief Kim Nash-McKinley, president of the New Brunswick Aboriginal Peoples Council, met with Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Jody Carr to express her appreciation for a $15,000 grant in support of the council's education programs. Through the assistance of the Aboriginal Affairs Secretariat, the grant supports off-reserve Aboriginal residents, providing items such as basic school supplies and clothing, a bursary, a scholarship, adult education programs and awards for leadership and outstanding achievement in academic studies in New Brunswick.
