Government of New Brunswick

The Registry of Agricultural Land is intended to enable agricultural land owners to better participate in the land use planning process by voluntary registration and to have land designated for agricultural use under the local land use planning process.

The program is voluntary and is open to owners of agricultural land.
There is no fee to apply for or participate in this program.
To be eligible, land must be in active use by an agricultural operation or if the land is not in active use, it must be suitable (as defined in the Act) for use by an agricultural operation.

The Registry of Agricultural Land is administered by this department. The department evaluates applications and registers eligible properties. Property must be registered in the Registry of Agricultural Land to be considered for registration in the Farm Land Identification Program.
