Hunter Education (Part B) Home Study Option
Natural Resources and Energy Development
Overview
In New Brunswick, all first-time hunters as well as persons born on or after January 1, 1981 are required to complete Firearm Safety / Hunter Education training before they may hunt in the province.
The Hunter Education (Part B) course may be completed as a home study course rather than taking this course in a classroom setting or online.
Eligibility
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Description
Participants register online or by calling their local Natural Resources and Energy Development office and are assigned a test date and location. Participants are strongly encouraged to review the Atlantic Canada Hunter Education (Part B) Student Manual and the current year Hunt and Trap book prior to testing. Printed versions of the student manual and Hunt and Trap book are available from any Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development office or SNB Service Centre. Digital copies of these documents can also be requested at the time of registration.
