Overview

Eligibility

There are income thresholds for determining eligibility for Canada Student Loans for Part-time Students.

Description

Government student financial assistance is based on your assessed financial need. Qualified part-time students in Canada could get up to $10,000 in federal loans.

In addition, part-time student grants are also available including:
• up to $3,600* per year for part-time students from low-income families;
• if a student has 1 or 2 dependants under the age of 12 (or a dependant with a permanent disability who is 12 or older), the grant provides $80* per week of part-time study, up to a maximum of $3,840*;
• if a student has 3 or more dependants under the age of 12 (or a dependant with a permanent disability who is 12 or older), the grant provides $120* per week of part-time study, up to a maximum of $3,840*.
* The amounts for Canada Student Grant funding have been temporarily increased until the end of July 2023.
