Eligibility
An individual desiring certification as a journeyperson in New Brunswick in the glazier occupation is required to meet one of the criteria as stipulated in Board Order GC001, “Requirements to Obtain a Certificate of Qualification.”
A person who has gained the equivalent of 7200 hours of practical experience in the glazier occupation may apply to challenge the certification examination. Successful candidates will receive a New Brunswick Certificate of Qualification. In most instances, an Interprovincial Red Seal will be affixed to the document.

Description
Qualified journeypersons are familiar with the materials, tools, principles and skills required in the glazier occupation.
Glaziers measure, handle, cut, prepare, fit, install, replace and repair all types of glass and glass substitutes, typically in commercial, residential and transportation applications. In commercial applications, they fabricate and install curtain wall framing, aluminium storefront frames and entrances, structural silicone glazing (SSG), skylights and sloped glazing. In residential applications, they install doors and windows. In transportation applications, glaziers repair and replace glass products.
