MCADAM (GNB) – The New Brunswick government is investing up to $125,000 in a modernization project at Soleno Inc. in McAdam.

"Our government's plan to rebuild New Brunswick is focused on generating jobs and economic growth in communities throughout New Brunswick, such as McAdam and the surrounding region," said Premier David Alward. "This investment will assist Soleno Inc. with a modernization project to seek new markets and maintain 25 skilled jobs in the region."

Soleno Inc., a manufacturer of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin pipes, will upgrade one of its production lines at its McAdam facility to increase productivity by using more recycled materials in its manufacturing process and to increase its competitiveness.

Through a payroll rebate, the provincial government's investment of up to $125,000 will maintain the 25 jobs.

"Soleno, which is the most important HDPE pipe manufacturer in the Maritimes, has been in McAdam for 18 years now, and we are very proud that some of our employees have been with us since the beginning," said Alain Poirier, president of Soleno Inc. "We consider McAdam as a strategic location, and we want to continue to invest and develop our installations here. We thank the Government of New Brunswick for this investment."
