FREDERICTON (GNB) – Five persons have officially entered the race for the upcoming byelection in the riding of Rothesay. Nominations closed today at 2 p.m.

The candidates are:

●    Hugh John (Ted) Flemming for the Progressive Conservative Party;
●    John Wilcox for the Liberal Party;
●    Dominic Cardy for the New Democratic Party;
●    Sharon Murphy for the Green Party; and
●    Marjorie MacMurray, an independent candidate.
Advance polls will be held on Saturday, June 16, and Monday, June 18. Election Day is Monday, June 25. Polls will be open each of these days from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.   

Persons have the option to vote by special ballot at the Rothesay returning office, located at 20 Marr Rd., Suite 200, Rothesay, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
