Schools and early learning centres to implement local solutions to climate change
Dozens of projects led by learners or educators seeking to reduce the carbon footprint of their communities and raise awareness of climate change will be implemented in schools and early learning centres across the province. Grade 6 students at Magnetic Hill School show the designs and materials they will use to produce sneaker moulds as part of their climate action project called Eco-Friendly Footwear. Under the supervision of teacher Tracie McFee, students will create a recycling hub where plastics are repurposed to produce the sneaker moulds that they designed.
