State funeral to be held for lieutenant-governor07 August 2019
BATHURST (GNB) – A state funeral is planned to honour and celebrate the life of Her Honour the Honourable Jocelyne Roy Vienneau, ONB, lieutenant-governor of New Brunswick, who passed away Aug. 2 following a battle with cancer.
The funeral, which members of the public are invited to attend, will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, at Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila Catholic Church, 1722 Route 322, Robertville.
The service will also be broadcast live, with a public viewing site set up at École communautaire La Croisée, 1341 Robertville Rd., Robertville.
Members of the public wishing to express condolences may do so by signing a book of condolence. Books can be found at the following locations:
- in the vestibule of the legislative assembly, 706 Queen St., Fredericton from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- the public entrance at the east end of Government House, 51 Woodstock Rd., Fredericton from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Flags at all provincial government buildings have been placed at half-mast until sunset on the day of the funeral.
