Government of New Brunswick

Public Health guidance

The province’s mandatory order will not be renewed on July 30 at 11:59 p.m., which will remove all restrictions in the province as it goes to Green.

We will have hand-washing stations on-site at the event and masks will be optional based on individual comfort levels. In Green, social distancing is no longer required and gatherings of any size are permitted.

We know everyone will feel different about being in Green and some of you will feel cautious and may choose to practice protective health measures such as wearing a mask.

Staying safe in the heat

Take the following actions to prevent heat illness during any level of heat alert:

  • Drink plenty of cool fluids, especially water, before feeling thirsty.
  • Wear lightweight, loose-fitting and light-coloured clothing.
  • Plan outdoor activities around cooler parts of the day.
  • Avoid exposure to the sun.
  • Never leave people or pets inside a parked car.
  • Spend a few hours in a cool place such as a shaded park while respecting.
  • Sprinkle clothing with water.
  • Splash cool water on your face and back of neck.

Heat alert advisories are issued on the Government of NB account, @Gov_NB, and the provincial government’s Facebook page
