Contraband cigarettes seized in Saint-Jacques23 May 2023
FREDERICTON (GNB) – Peace officers from the Department of Justice and Public Safety recently seized 30,000 contraband cigarettes in Saint-Jacques.
A 34-year-old man from Regina was arrested on May 11 and released. He will appear in Provincial Court in Edmundston at a later date. The investigation is ongoing.
Residents are encouraged to report the trafficking of contraband tobacco, or any other criminal matter, to law enforcement.
