- Always have to be right?
- Decide what to do, where to go, and when to do it?
- Try to tell you how to wear your hair or what clothes to wear?
- Criticize you all the time?
- Call you humiliating names or call you stupid, crazy or irrational?
- Insist on controlling all the money?
- Threaten suicide if you leave?
- Get upset or jealous when you do things alone with your friends?
- Insult the type of work you do or the kind of courses you take at school?
- Prevent or make it difficult for you to work or go to school?
- Force you to have sex when you do not want to?
- Force you to have sex with others?
- Make you watch pornography?
- Deliberately infect you with a sexually transmitted infection?
- Distribute sexually explicit photographs of you over social media?
- Threaten to hit you, harm your pets or break things?
- Slap, kick or punch you?
- Use a firearm to threaten you?
- Take away your cell phone?
- Not allow you to go to church, synagogue, mosque, temple, or sweat lodge?
- Restrain and/or confine you?
- Use a weapon or other object to threaten or hurt you or a loved one?
- Force you to do drugs or use alcohol?
- Force you to turn over benefit payments such as the Canada Child Tax Benefit, pay cheques and support payments?
If you can answer YES to these questions, then you or someone you know is being abused.
