Balancing Rights and Responsibilities


The PEI Human Rights Commission in conjunction with the Canadian Association of Statutory Human Rights Agencies is hosting a national human rights conference June 26-27, 2019 at the Delta Prince Edward in Charlottetown PEI.

Presenters will be coming from across Canada to present on such topics as:

  • The Impact of Difficult Personalities on Procedural Fairness (in french with simultaneous interpretation into English)

  • Sexual Harassment: Creating a Culture of Safer Workplaces

  • Balancing Access to Justice with Procedural Fairness
  • Accommodating Service Animals and or Emotional Support Animals

Registration deadline is June 1. This conference has been approved by the PEI Law Society for 10 hours of CPD credits (including 1.5 hours of client relations /practice management).

The conference will be presented in English with the exception of the concurrent session “The Impact of Difficult Personalities on Procedural Fairness” which will be presented in French with English interpretation.  If this presents a barrier to your participation in the program please contact us as soon as possible at [email protected] to discuss possible options.
