The New Brunswick government has created a bursary fund for healthcare providers who wish to certify as diabetes educators. Potential applicants include healthcare professionals currently working in Horizon Health Network, Vitalité Health Network, private practice settings, in profit or in non-profit organizations. Certified diabetes educators promote the national standards of care for individuals affected by diabetes.
Eighteen (18) bursaries are available each year to reimburse the cost of examination by the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board. Eligible health professionals who successfully complete the diabetes educator’s examination may apply for reimbursement of examination cost (currently $ 500) prior to October 1 each year. Priority will be given to those who passed the exam for the first time.
Please note that only completed forms from candidates who meet all the eligibility criteria, received prior to October 1 each year, will be processed. Only successful candidates will be notified.
