In an effort to reduce the incidence and mortality rates related to cervical cancer, the New Brunswick Cancer Network (NBCN), a division of the Department of Health, with a multi stakeholder Advisory Committee has developed a population-based Cervical Cancer Prevention and Screening Program (CCPSP) for New Brunswick. This organized cervical cancer screening program is available province-wide.
Through the work of the Advisory Committee and as the first phase to implementing a Provincial Screening Program, the New Brunswick Cervical Cancer Prevention and Screening Program Clinical Practice Guidelines and Info Sheet Tool were developed. These Guidelines are intended to assist health care providers and women in optimizing cervical screening in New Brunswick.
