Pay Equity Program - Transition House Sector
The Province of New Brunswick made a commitment to implement a pay equity program targeting the Transition House Sector that includes all Transition Houses, Second Stage Houses and Outreach Workers.

In New Brunswick, this sector is comprised of Crisis Interveners, Child Support Workers, Outreach Workers and Support Workers.
The program will:
• consult with Transition House Sector and provide regional information sessions;
• establish Joint Steering Committee and Joint Job Evaluation Committee;
• complete job descriptions and job evaluations; and
• provide the results and recommendations of the pay equity program to government.
The goal of the program is to determine if employees are undervalued and determine if any pay inequity exists.
Pay inequity has a social and economic impact to both women and men.
