Important information prior to applying for a Wild Turkey Hunting Licence:
You must complete a review of the information provided regarding the hunting of wild turkey before you are eligible to apply to the Wild Turkey Draw. This material will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and consists of the following topics:
1. Wild Turkey Biology
2. Wild Turkey Identification – Adult Birds
3. Wild Turkey Hunting Safety Tips
You must also have previous hunting experience or Firearms Safety/Hunter Education course (gun hunters) or a stand-alone Bowhunter Education course (bow/crossbow hunters) to apply to the Wild Turkey Draw.
You will need to enter your Outdoors Card number to complete the Wild Turkey Hunting Course.
After completing the course, you can apply to the Wild Turkey Draw for your chance to be drawn for a licence through the Fish and Wildlife Licensing System or in person at an authorized vendor or a Service New Brunswick location between March 7th and April 1st.
There will be an application fee of $6.00 + HST to enter the draw.
You may choose from one of the available Wildlife Management Zones (WMZ) in which you would like to apply for your Wild Turkey Licence.
Successful applicants who purchase a Wild Turkey Hunting Licence must submit a Turkey Harvest Report Form by June 14 of the same year. The form will be provided and is also available by visiting www.gnb.ca/naturalresources.
