Fishing is a time-honoured tradition that supports quality time spent with friends and family for many New Brunswickers.

With more than 2,500 lakes, 60,000 kilometres of rivers and brooks and a wide variety of species to fish, New Brunswick offers excellent angling opportunities for everyone.

Every year, residents and non-residents are able to fish without a licence or guide during Fish NB Days in early June.

But fishing is not just a summer activity, it’s also a winter one.

This year, New Brunswick’s first Winter Fish NB Days will be held on Family Day weekend.

From Feb. 16 to 18, residents and non-residents will be able to ice fish without a licence on waters that are open during the winter fishing season. Anglers must adhere to the daily harvest limits and gear restrictions

Bring your family or bring a few friends and enjoy the thrill of winter fishing among the natural beauty of our province.
