NB REGISTRY
The COSSAR assessment and the status report for a species are published in the New Brunswick Species at Risk Public Registry.
The Minister of the Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development may withhold as confidential and omit from the public registry any information that, in the opinion of the minister, might compromise the conservation of a wildlife species.
EMERGENCY DESIGNATION
The minister may make an emergency designation of a wildlife species as an endangered species if it is felt that there is an imminent threat to the survival of the species. A status report must be prepared and provided to COSSAR for assessment without delay.
