An Outdoors Card number is required to purchase an angling, hunting, or trapping licence, to apply to draws for certain types of licences, and to register for a Conservation Education course.
An Outdoors Card number is obtained by completing a one-time registration process. This can be done:
- online at the Fish and Wildlife Licensing System site,
- in person at an authorized vendor, or
- at any Service New Brunswick location.
There is no fee for your Outdoors Card number, which is issued as soon as you complete the registration process.
Following registration, you will be sent an Outdoors Card by mail. This card is a convenient way to remember your Outdoors Card number and can be used to access the online Fish and Wildlife Licensing System or to facilitate a transaction at a vendor or Service New Brunswick location. Your Outdoors Card is not considered a licence and you are not required to carry it when angling, hunting, or trapping.
