In 2001, an Airborne EM anomaly within the Black Point Gabbro approximately 3 km south of Belledune was drilled by Aurogin Resource. This work outlined an epigenetic Au-bearing sulphide zone up to 200 m wide and extending for 400 m. The best assay in interval from this occurrence is 1.2g/t Au over drill intersection of 15.5 m with best single assay of approximately 6g/t Au. Walker (2020) suggested this occurrence was possibly shear zone-hosted, granite-related Au mineralization: “That mineralization at Guitard Brook East may in part be related to granite derived fluids (…). Antimony, as well as Sn and W are commonly associated with Au-bearing felsic magmatic systems such as those at Clarence Stream in southern New-Brunswick (McLeod et al. 2008; Thorne et al. 2008).

Additionally, to the west of the Guitard zone, a new zone containing 8.3 g/t Au was discovered in an altered outcrop along the highway. Historical values of 2.26 g/t Au and 170 g/t Ag have been discovered in an outcrop to the east of the Guitard zone as well, with other historical values of 4.4 g/t and 6.86 g/t Au, and 204 g/t and 247 g/t Ag. All these indicators are found on the same magnetic horizon, on a strike length of 4000 m. This project is located east of the Silverjack (Shaft) project. The mineral claims are held by the same claim holder.
