History of the Tetagouche Falls area (Fe Bloom) property:
The Fe Bloom is host to URN 1079, where seven quartz veins up to 6 feet wide containing copper were mined and sold to England in the 1800s. URN 49 consists of two lenses of manganese (uneconomical deposit) discovered by prospector “Stevens”. In 1953-54, Sharp Geological Survey Ltd. carried out large magnetic/VLF and gravity surveys (report of work 471322). Great Canadian Manganese Mining carried out a drilling program of 75 drill holes in 1954 (471322). In 1958, Ruth Hartley tested two magnetic/VLF and gravity anomalies. Drill hole DDH #1 intercepted 30 feet of sulphites, and 60 feet of sulphites was intercepted in DDH #2 (470349).
In 1967-68, Cominco Exploration carried out large magnetic/VLF and gravity surveys. Several targets were located but not tested yet (472396). An Aerodat Survey was flown in 1995. It covered most of the Fe Bloom property. With LiDAR imaging, the geology contacts can be seen. In November 2022, EarthX Geological Solutions carried out a magnetic drone survey covering 196.64 km on a portion of the Fe Bloom property (Brunswick #12 favourable horizon projection, 479302).
