Flood debris pickup in affected areas is being planned, tipping fees for non-hazardous materials are being waived at the landfills noted below, free water testing kits are being provided and fees are being waived for certain building permits and Watercourse and Wetland Alteration permits.
Debris pickup will start on May 15 for local service districts, except those around Grand Lake and in the Belleisle area, where it will start on May 21. Residents should have their debris at the roadside, but people are asked to be patient. It could take several days, or possibly weeks, to get every road done. Everything along the roadside should be separated, such as debris, appliances, construction materials, etc.
