2019 Provincial French Pride Week
The 30th Provincial French Pride Week was officially launched on Monday at École l’Odyssée in Moncton. This year, the theme for the week, which runs from May 18 to 22, is Les fenêtres de l’Acadie s’ouvrent sur la francophonie! (Acadia serves as a window to the Francophonie). From left: Francine Cyr, chair of the Francophone nord-ouest school district education council; Paul Demers, chair of the Francophone sud school district education council; Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Robert Gauvin, who is also minister responsible for La Francophonie; Monique Hébert-Savoie, principal of École l’Odyssée; Lt.-Gov. Jocelyne Roy Vienneau; Monique Boudreau, superintendent of the Francophone sud school district; Education and Early Childhood Minister Dominic Cardy; two students who were masters of ceremony, Alexandra Guitard and Amélie Guitard; and the chair of the Francophone nord-est school district education council, Ghislaine Foulem.
