An information session regarding the proposed Route 11 Caraquet Bypass was held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 in Caraquet. The new bypass alignment will be a two-lane route south of the existing Route 11 with one (1) interchange at Legère Road and one (1) grade separation at Lavigne Road. The project is approximately 13km in length, from du Portage Road to Bertrand.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure will be registering the project with the Department of Environment in accordance with Section 5(1) and Schedule “A” of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation.
