Government of New Brunswick

Because of concerns surrounding COVID-19, offices of the Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries remain closed to the public at this time; however, staff have returned to offices and are available via email or telephone.

For emergency veterinarian services, please call: 1-888-622-4742.

Please note:

Due to Covid-19, since March 17, New Brunswick Animal Health Services, including veterinary field services, laboratory and pharmacy, have been operating on an emergency service basis. Effective April 6, the service will expand to address additional urgent calls such as herd health checks. Each call will be triaged by a veterinarian and dealt with by phone if possible. If a field visit is required, safety protocols are in place and will be followed to protect veterinarians and clients.

Dairy, beef, swine, poultry, sheep, goat, fox, mink and alternative livestock producers and horse owners are eligible for services. Services are also available to zoos, wildlife parks, and animal welfare enforcement agencies.
